The town of Atkins is very close to Cedar Rapids. It is 10 miles west of Interstate 380 and Highway 30 Interchange.
Take Insterstate 380 to Higway 30. go West on Highway 30 for 10 miles (towards Tama).
Take the Atkins Turnoff, North on Highway 279.
Go 2 miles to Main Avenue and turn right.
Note: Main Avenue is at the stop sign. The stop sign is right before the highway sign that gives you the miles to Shellsburg & right before Ampride Convenience Store.
This takes you to downtown Atkins. The Memorial Union and the American Legion are the same and on the left side of the street.
