Iowa State University
Ames, Iowa
March 4, 2000

What is it?
The Iowa Science Olympiad is a competition sponsored by the Iowa Academy of Sciences.  There are two divisions: 6-9 grade and 9-12 grade.  If enough students sign up, we can send a team of ninth graders and a team of 10-12 graders from Washington High School.  The top team in each division will advance to National Competition in Spokane, Washington.

How can I sign up?
Stop in Mrs. Adams room to sign up to participate on a team.  NINTH GRADERS, this is your big chance to shine.  We can send four of you to this competition.

How much will it cost?
We'll probably go down the night before the competition, so costs should be $10 for the hotel plus whatever money you will need for meals.  Entry fees and the rest of the hotel bill will be paid by the Washington Junior Academy of Science.
