Thomas Dendurent was born in 1854.
He left home one day and was not heard of until he sent a picture to his sister in Harlin,
Kansas. The picture showed him with a lap full of snakes and the letter reported that he
had become an "American snake charmer" in a circus. He spent winters with Laura
and George Libring in Arkansas from 1900 to 1912, but was never heard of again after 1913.
He was always called "Uncle Jake." - William L. Urban
