"Dendurent" is a very rare family name. It appears that all those who carry it are descendants of Joseph Dendurent (1824-1908), a Canadian who emigrated to Missouri, outlived three wives, and died in Brown County at the northeast tip of Kansas.

Thus, Kansas is the honorary home state of the Dendurents, which, like many in our time, is a far-flung family. Members of the family came together in Wichita, Kansas, for the first Dendurent family reunion June 9-12, 2000.

This web site is an outgrowth of that reunion. Its purpose is to help maintain the family ties, facilitate communication, share stories and pictures, archive genealogical information, provide links to individual home pages and other resources, and point to a family discussion group on the Internet which all family members are invited to join.

For further information, and to suggest material for inclusion on this site, please contact Hal Dendurent, Webmaster.

June 25, 2000. The web site is brand new and open to suggestions for its development!
