In 1995, there were relatively few Japanese resources on the web, and even fewer search engines to make those sites easily accessible. As my personal collection Japanese topics outgrew my browser's ability to manage them, I decided to publish the information I had collected. It would be impossible to collect all the links related to Japan, so I've focused on Japan-related Web pages that I have found valuable in my own studies.
This collection, of course, reflects my own interests. You'll see a lot of information on Japanese news, studying the Japanese language, travel and tourism, food, culture, art, and religion. You will NOT find links to topics like manga, economics, or sports. If you want that kind of information, you can easily browse around for them yourself through my 'list of lists'.
I'll try to keep the list up to date, but please notify me if you find any of the links don't work. If you cannot connect with an overseas web page, please try again at a different time of day, some Japanese servers don't operate on regular schedules, or might be unavailable at certain times.
These links present new News stories from Japan, updated frequently. I believe this is the single most comprehensive list of Japanese newspapers anywhere on the Web. I've gone to much effort to locate and collect these websites, if you know of any others, please email me at ceicher (at) inav.net

This link deserves special mention. Ken Lunde is an employee of Adobe, and did most of the groundbreaking work in making Kanji fonts work with modern Microcomputers. If you have any question about Chinese, Japanese, or Korean fonts, Ken Lunde probably knows the answer. His latest book "CJKV Information Processing" was recently published by O'Reilly.
Another special mention: Jim Breen is the leader of the amazing EJDICT project. EJDICT is a freeware English/Japanese dictionary database. The dictionary can be used on virtually any computer. I highly recommend EJDICT.
