This volunteer dance troupe in Iowa City of 4 women and 3 men was lead by Ignacio Anguiano, Consultant of the American Repertory Theatre at Harvard University, and Founder and Dance Instructor of the Iowa City Salsa and Merengue Club. The Iowa City Club disbanded in late 2005 when Ignacio moved to Kirkwood, Illinois. In late 2006 he relocated to Los Angeles, California. He has started a new organization in his new home area.
Their first public performances were at the Iowa City Arts Fest in Downtown Iowa City on June 10 and 11, 2000. The large crowds were dazzled by the great dancing of this young, energetic, joyful dance troupe.
