This volunteer dance troupe is lead by Ignacio Anguiano, Consultant of the American Repertory Theatre at Harvard University, and Founder and Dance Instructor of the Iowa City Salsa and Merengue Club. He is also a member of the Iowa Humanities Speakers Bureau.
Their first public performances were at the Iowa City Arts Fest in Downtown Iowa City on June 10 and 11, 2000. The large crowds were dazzled by the great dancing of this young, energetic, joyful dance troupe. The troupe has appeared at the 2001 and 2002 Arts Fest. The pictures in this gallery are from the Morning Performance. Latin Dancing Stars have also been invited to present dancing at the world-famous Iowa State Fair in Des Moines
