This is an excellent site devoted to the great Northwoods writer/teacher/philosopher. The site has been developed by David Backes, who has also written "A Wilderness Within: The Life of Sigurd F. Olson." The biography, printed by the University of Minnesota Press, is scheduled to be released in August, 1997.

Leopold Education Project
The Leopold Education Project (LEP) is an environmental education curriculum based on the writings of Aldo Leopold, author of "The Sand County Almanac", one of America's early great works on the importance of conservation and making wise decisions regarding our environment.  Secondary science educators in particular might find this site interesting.
