The three outpost sets are model kit dioramas. The ones to the left are the originals which have vacuform bases. The ones to the right are the 1999 reissues which no longer include the base.

The forts are snap together hard plastic model kits. Soft
plastic versions of the Fort Apache, Fort Sahara, and Sherwood Castle can
be found in the early Playsets.
