Residence

This is another building that is not made from brick. This building is made from clapboard on a wooden beam frame. It was built as a house. As far as my research has taken me, there was no other use for this structure.

This house was built in 1857. The addition was built in 1906 for the Martin Schaup family. Since this building was very close to the edge of town, which is where the agricultural buildings were, it housed some of the sheep help occasionally. At one time the Eggerts lived in this dwelling as well.
