I am writing this in place of the information that I am to recieve from this family. They have let me know that they will provide additional information and pictures in the near future. Until then, this will have to do.
I found conflicting dates when researching this house. I'm sure this will be rectified by the Zuber family. The recorded date in historical logs told me 1895. Other people, including my oma, stated that it was one of the last houses completed using brick. This would put the date at about 1900. It is still standing and is a private residence. It is another house in South Amana that has a long history with the same family.
Originally, I am told, this house was used by the man that ran the meat market. He and his family lived here. This was Fritz Zuber if I am not mistaken. It has remained in this family since. I can't wait for more info!
